Royal Caribbean International (RCI), formerly known as Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (RCCL), is a renowned cruise line brand founded in 1968 in Norway. It has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Group since 1997, with its headquarters in Miami, Florida. As one of the largest cruise lines by revenue and the second-largest by passenger counts, Royal Caribbean International controlled 19.2% of the worldwide cruise market by passengers and 14.0% by revenue as of 2018.

The cruise line operates a fleet of 26 ships and has four additional ships on order as of January 2022. Over the years, Royal Caribbean has been a pioneer in the industry, introducing innovative features like ice rinks at sea, the “Royal Promenade” mall concept, and the FlowRider surfing simulator. They have also expanded their private resorts, including Labadee in Haiti and Coco Cay in the Bahamas.

The company has also been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, suspending sailings and selling some of its ships.
